hALloWeeN

I am sorry that I can't seem to keep up with my blog and instead of reading a few posts here and there you get about 10 at one time and then noting for a month or so. I am just lucky to get the posts up at all!

We had a fun Halloween. We had three parties before Halloween and the boys would not dress up for any of them. Tyler kept telling me that it had to be dark for him to dress up and he only would on Halloween. Tyler was very anxious to dress up to go trick or treating! He was a lion (he insisted on wearing the same costume he wore last year - no complaints here). Jason finally decided to be a puppy, so my mom and sister made him a cute puppy custume. He would not put it on for Halloween and kept saying that he wanted to be a lion. Tyler finally convinced him to be Bob the Builder, so we threw that costume together minutes before trick or treating.

Tyler is so creative! He decided that his bear needed a Halloween costume, so he made one all by himself! He was so proud of it. A few days after Halloween, Tyler said that he wants to be Lightning McQueen next year and that he wants to make the costume. He got a Lightning fruit snack box and made a costume!! He did this all on his own - I did help him get the velcro on his belt so he could get it on and off, but it was all his idea!

The little things on his pants are "rocket boosters"

Fall

The boys really enjoy going to the park to play in the sand. They are so dirty when they come home - they have to go straight to the bath!

The leaves have started to fall in our yard and the boys had a blast raking them up and jumping in them. For some reason, Jason thought he needed a mouthful of them as he was running around. I have really questioned lately, what in the world is wrong with my kids!! They do the most bizzare things sometimes, but it keeps us laughing!!

LEAVES!!!

Pumpkin Patch #1

We went to the pumpkin patch several times this year. These are pictures from the first visit.

Fun in St. George

Jimmy's friend, Mike, got married in St. George on Oct. 10th so we went down for the wedding and stayed with my aunt and uncle. The boys had a BLAST at their house!! They have chickens, beehives, four wheelers and a theater room! Tyler and Jason were able to help gather eggs, feed the chickens, set mice traps, play with the dog, play with the beehives (only the boxes and frames - no bees!), ride four wheelers, watch the Bee Movie, and play at the sand dunes. It was a lot of fun. Jimmy went to the sealing on Saturday morning and then the two of us went to the recpetion that night. It was a beautiful wedding.

The chickens. Lance has a rooster named Pimp Daddy. Jimmy's sister has a chicken named Hot Mamma - we really need to get the two of them together!

Tyler the bee expert! Uncle Lance was kind enough to let Tyler bring this beehive home so that he could countinue to practice how to get the frames out to harvest the honey.

Jason would run around and just fall on purpose.

Madagascar Hissing Cockroaches

These are our family pets! My mom has several cockraches in her classroom and one day when we were in Rangely, Tyler got the bright idea to bring some home to our house! Tyler and Jason each have one and we have given 2 to our friends next door. My mom's cockroaches had tons of babies and that is what Tyler is hoping will happen with ours. He would like to give them away to all of his friends:-) They are really low maintenance pets and as long as I don't have to touch them, I am okay with them.

Preschool

In the midst of everything going on - Tyler started preschool! He started out at the elementary school preschool, but we had a bad experience there and I pulled him out. He is now in a private preschool and is really doing well. His teacher is so much fun and does a great job with the kids.

Rangely

We went to Rangely one weekend to see my parents. The new rec center was finally open so we were able to go swimming. Mike and Sean Morgan took us rock crawling, Jimmy was able to play a round of golf, the kids played at the park, and we watched Quinton and Courtney coach their volleyball teams. We were also able to celebrate Tiffany's birthday. Her poor cake was "tasted" by everyone before we even got to sing happy birthday! It was a great weekend.

A trip to Rangely would not be complete without playing in Grandpa's boat.

I was not as scared as I should have been going up these rocks! There were times that we were straight up and down!
