There was an unbelievable amount of snow in Rangely. There were huge mounds in the middle of the roads and all of the parking lots had huge piles. Jimmy, Quinton and my dad had to shovel off the roof because the snow was getting so heavy. There were icicles on houses and buildings that touched the ground. It was below zero most of the time we were there. We would find frost on the inside of the doors in the morning!

Rangely Fun

Jason working at Tyler's new tool bench.
Tyler and Jason loved going to Grandma's classroom. They got to ride in the lunch carts, and play with everything you can imagine in a 2nd grade class room. At one point Tyler even said: "I have to go check my email."
We had lots of fun in Rangely over Christmas. Grandpa built Tyler a boat out of a box, complete with a stearing wheel, fishing pole holder and a live well! Tyler thought it was great!

These pictures are actually before Christmas, but the one on the right is Jason's little snow angel.

We went swimming and both boys had a great time. Jason just kicks back in his little tube and enjoys the water!

Merry Christmas
We had a great Christmas at my parent's house. Tyler got to open a present on Christmas Eve, which was Mickey Mouse pj's and an ornament. Tyler was excited on Christmas morning to get the presents sorted out and get busy unwrapping. Jason was content to play with his toy from Santa! Tyler started unwrapping before everyone could get downstairs, and there was no stopping him. He was excited after each one and just wanted to keep going. Our video camera ran out of tape right before he opened the big present from Grandpa - a new tool bench!! His reaction was priceless and he thinks it is the best thing ever. Jason didn't care about his toys a whole lot that morning, but he enjoys them now.
The theme for our Christmas was cleanliness as we all got vacuums! Jimmy got a shop vac, Tyler got a toy vacuum, Jason gets to borrow daddy's little dust buster for the garage and I got a fancy new vacuum for the house!

Jammies
The other day Tyler said that he wanted some pajamas with feet like Jason has. I actually had a couple of pair in his closet, but didn't think that he would like them. Tyler said that he was going to look in his room to see if he had any, well of course he found them and watned to put them on. He absolutly loves them and does not want to take them off in the mornings. He says that they are "so warm and soft and keep his feet warm."

Tyler got into my makeup tonight when I was giving Jason a bath. He did a pretty darn good job with the mascara - I thought that Jimmy helped him, but he had no idea that his son was playing dress up :-) He also made his hair "beautiful" as he says it.

Oh Mommy!
Sometimes Tyler says the funniest things. Here are a few of his most recent things that made us laugh:
- I spilt water in the family room the other day and Tyler said, "Oh, Mommy! That's okay. I clean it up." He went upstairs got a towel and cleaned it up!!
- Tyler was downstairs in the office with Jimmy and said to Jimmy, "I get on phone, you be quiet!" Do you think he has heard that one a few times!!
Kids are so much fun, especially when you don't ever know what is going to come out of their mouths!

Treehouse Museum
We frequently visit the children's Tree house Museum in Ogden, and I got a few pictures this week. Santa came to story time, but Tyler did not want anything to do with him. He watched from a distance and told me what he wanted for Christmas!
Here are a few pictures of the boys playing with a giant chess game. Tyler had fun "burying" Jason. This is a game that we play quite often with pillows and anything else Tyler can find to pile around Jason.

If you are wondering if Tyler is wearing the same shirt in almost every picture, you are right! This is his favorite "long sleeved shirt" and he wants to wear it all the time. I am not sure why he likes this one so much, but it is a definite favorite and we are going to be in trouble when it is too small.

Gingerbread fun
Tyler decorated a gingerbread house this weekend and had a great time! He wasn't quite sure why we were doing it and kept asking, but he thought it was fun.

Tyler the Tool man
We decided that since Tyler is so handy and loves to fix things that we would put him to work so he can start earning his keep around our house! His first assignment was to fix a leaking shower. He put on his hard had and went right to work, with every tool that he could find! He claims that the shower is fixed :-) If we are going to put the poor kid to work, we figured that we better get him a car to drive around in, so we converted a couple of card board boxes into his very own car!!
Tyler just loves his car and was so excited when we were making it. It is equiped with a door, stearing wheel, and of course a blinker (by special request)! Tyler was having so much fun playing with it. Once Jason woke up, Tyler decided that Jason needed his own car, so we made a little car that would go right behind Tyler's. Jason thought it was great, but his stearing wheel and blinker did not last long because he thought it was more fun to eat them! All in all, this was a GREAT way to spend a cold, winter afternoon! I never knew that a box could be such a great play pin!

Just in case you wanted to see Tyler's tonsils!
