Happy Birthday, Jason

Jason turned a year old on the 12th. I can't believe how fast this year has gone. Jason is so much fun and has a great little personality! He keeps us on our toes and is always up to something.

My mom made the train cake - which turned out AWESOME!! We had a BBQ with family and friends, opened presents and of course, ate cake. Jason dissapointed us a little bit because he LOVES food and we expected him to dig into the cake, but he was tired and grouchy by the time we did that and he did not even taste it! Oh well, he still had a great birthday!

The kids to the right of Jason are Abbie Scanlan, Blaine Belshe and Freddie Scanlan.

Happy 80th Birthday, Grandma!

So, I am a week late in getting these pictures up, but better late than never. We had a huge surprise party for my Grandma's 80th birthday last weekend. It was a lot of fun to see family that we don't get to see very often. There were new surprises for my Grandma around every corner.

Yes, there were really 80 candles!

I am still alive!!

It has almost been a month since I have posted any pictures, so I figured that I better get on the ball. It has been a wild and crazy month. I am just going to post a few random pictures from the past couple of weeks.
Since my last post, Jason started walking, Tyler and Jason spent a few days at Grandma and Grandpa's house without Mom and Dad, Easter, the Scanlan's came for a visit, and I spent a weekend with the boys in Denver celebrating my Grandma's 80th birthday party.

Feed Me!

Jason is our little chunk and just loves food! He always wants a bite of whatever I am eating. Today, I had some dried fruit snacks in my hand for him to take, and he just ate right out of my hand! His favorite foods are oatmeal, yogurt, mac & cheese and ice cream.

Good Morning

Tyler and Jason wake up so happy in the mornings, and I finally caught it on camera. They love to lay in bed and wrestle around with each other. Jason really likes to steal Tyler's milk and silky. Jason is usually the first one up in the morning and he gets so excited when he hears Tyler wake up and we go into his room. The energy starts the moment they wake up, and it doesn't stop until they go to bed at night!

Bye Bye Durango, Hello Tahoe

Well, it was finally time to say goodbye to my durango. It was a sad day, but I have come to terms with it. The durango had been a great car for us, but it was starting to have problems and we weren't sure how much longer it was going to last. We decided to go ahead and trade it in while it still had some value. Jimmy found an amazing deal on this Tahoe so we went ahead and got it. We love it! It is a 2004, fully loaded, in great condition.

Jimmy getting a DVD going for the ride home - this is Tyler's favorite part of the new car. Poor Jason will have to wait another month before we can turn his car seat around so he can see!

Tyler loves to talk

Tyler has found a new love - the cell phone! Actually, he as always loved to play with them, but now he actually likes to talk in them. I think he spent an hour on the phone with my parents the other night. He would talk to my Dad and then all of a sudden say, "so, I call Damma (Grandma) now. Okay, bye." He would then hang up and call right back and my mom would answer. He would have a conversation with her and then say, "so, I call Dampa (Grandpa) now. Okay, bye." He would then hang up and start the process over. I have no idea how long he did this, but we finally had him call Aunt Tiffy to relieve my parents for a while. He knows which numbers to press on the speed dial to call who he wants to.

So, if any of you get a phone call from my phone and you hear a little voice, feel free to talk as long as you like and then hang up :-)

Stair Master

Jason as finally mastered the stairs - up and down. He has been able to go up for a month or two now, but just figured out how to go down last week with the help of Daddy. We still have to help him turn around, but then he just goes. He hasn't shown must interest in walking, but I am sure it will come soon enough! He will stand up and let go for a few seconds at a time.

Up, up, up
