Happy Birthday Tyler

Tyler turned 3 on February 3rd! My parents and sister and brother-in-law came for the weekend. Tyler was very excited to help Grandma decorate his Mickey Mouse cake. He was also very excited when he woke up and saw all of the presents that were for him!

Tyler got lots of fun presents, and a few essentials. He got a keyboard, fishing game, silky pj's, new bedding and a car seat. After presents, we had cake and ice cream. Jason went nuts over the ice cream. Aunt Courtney was feeding him and he sure had a temper when she did not feed him fast enough!

Later in the afternoon we all went bowling. It was a fun day. Thanks everyone that was here to make Tyler's day so special! I can't believe that he is already three!! He is so much fun and keeps us on our toes! He is my little helper around the house and like to things, "all my own." (all by my self) He is also a good big brother and already likes to wrestle with Jason.

Krispy Kreme

We went on a little field trip last week to Krispy Kreme. We got a tour of how they make the doughnuts, the kids got hats and coloring pages and we got a free sample - yum! It was a lot of fun, and I am sure that the Mom's enjoyed it more than the kids.

Tyler only licked the glaze off the doughnut and Jason just wanted to squish it between his fingers and laugh! We had a great time.

Jason went to town on the doughnut. I wish my camera had sound because it was hilarious to listen to him.

Sippy cups, malls and other fun things!

It feels like a month since I have posted anything, but really it has only been two weeks! We haven't been up to a whole lot - just trying to keep busy in this cold weather. Tyler has become a Mall rat and wants to go play on the toys and get ice cream just about every day. I tried to take my camera the other day and Tyler told me I didn't need it.

We have been experimenting with lots of finger foods this week and Jason had his first taste of pizza tonight, and LOVED it! He will still eat baby food as long as he has some 'real' food to play with on his tray.

Tyler has been doing chores around the house - like the dishes and vacuuming with his new vacuum.

Jason finally learned out to drink out of a sippy cup! I had been giving him water and juice in it and he didn't ever really care too much about it. I put milk in it today, and what do you know, he can drink from it, and LOVES it!! I was beginning to wonder if I was going to have him weaned off the bottle by a year, but it looks like we just made a huge step in the right direction :-)

Tyler has also been dressing himself every morning - and is very proud of it! He wants to wear shorts every day (several of which are his pajama shorts) and he found the drawer where I keep all of his clothes that are too small, so he wants to wear those all the time. I don't mind the shorts as long as we are at home. I don't know why I buy this kid new clothes!

Puddin' Paint

We made edible finger paints today and the boys just loved it. They started out a little timid, but then it got crazy and we ended up giving Jason a bath he was such a mess!

Nice and neat - using only one finger to paint

Yumm, this is good stuff!

Here let me help you!

Notice the little red spec on Jason's ear! At this point it reminded me of the food fights in Hook!

Very intense!

Now we are having real fun!

It was all over at this point - forget the paper - the counter works much better!

All clean :-)

Jammy Buddies

Blaine Belshe and Tyler have a great time together! They were both excited to put on their feet jammies.

Winter Fun

We had a great time playing in the snow a couple of weeks ago when we got a really big snow storm. We built a huge snowman and Jason went sledding (Tyler did not want anything to do with it!)

Yoda

I think that Jason looks like Yoda! Anytime I call him Yoda, Tyler tells me, "no, its Jason."

Family Pictures

We took some family pictures while in Rangely over Christmas. We got several that turned out really cute, but Tyler WOULD NOT cooperate, so we got some really bad ones as well! I was disappointed that we did not get one good picture of our family. Jason, on the other hand, just loved the camera and we got some really great ones of him.
