That will teach you!

I had to put a doorknob on Tyler's door that locks from the outside because there times (not many) that he will not stay in his room during a time out. Well, I had to use the lock twice in the last two days so Tyler decided that he was going to take matters into his own hands today! I asked Tyler and Jason to stay in their rooms to play for a few minutes while I got some chores done. When I came back upstairs, I found Tyler's door hanging off the top hing! He unscrewed the hinge and totally took the door off!! He got a stool from the kitchen to reach the very top one! When Jimmy asked him why he did it he said because he just did not want a door anymore. Then Jimmy asked if it was because I had locked him in the room today, Tyler said, "yes."

The BIG STINKER this time!!! I don't know what to do with this kid!!!

Swimming Lessons

I put Tyler in swimming lessons hoping to get him over his fear of getting his face wet. As you can see from the picture, we have not been very successful. This is how we have spent every day of swimming lessons! I have tried to brib him to just get in the water, but he does not want anything to do with it. He is normally not scared of the water at all, he is just being a stinker!

Tyler accidentally put his foot in the water!

Marshmallows

Tyler had the brilliant idea to roast mini marshmallows over a candle! It worked great!

4th of July

We had a fun weekend for the 4th. My parents and sister came to stay with us and we did the typical 4th of July activities. My mom, Tiffany and I took the boys to Lagoon on Friday. Tyler loves it there, but Jason still does not like most of the rides. On Saturday, we went to the parade in the morning, relaxed all afternoon and then had a BBQ and fireworks that evening. The boys LOVED the fireworks. We actually kept them up late enough so it was semi-dark outside when we started our fireworks. They were both way too tired by 9:30 to try and make it to watch the big fireworks. Courtney and Quinton were the only ones that made it to those. The rest of us watched from our roof.

This is how Jason fell asleep at Lagoon.

Both of the boys would plug their ears during the parade.

Cabin

We spent last weekend at my Grandpa's cabin near Evanston, WY. It was a TON of fun!! The boys had a blast. We were able to swing on the huge tree swing, fish, play in the tree house, eat, cook pine cones over a 'fire', learn to potty off the balcony, eat, play baseball, use a mattress as a slide and eat some more!

Thanks Grandma and Grandpa - we had so much fun!!

The boys love their cousin, baby Kylee, and usually invade her personal space and just smother her! She is going to be one tough cookie :0)

No more diapers!!

Last week, I was putting Jason down for a nap and he told me that he had to go potty, so I put him down and told him to go. (He does this every once in a while and just acts like he is going in the potty.) He ran in the bathroom and then came back and told me that he did not want to wear diapers anymore and wanted to put underwear on! I said, "Okay, after your nap."

When Jason woke up from his nap, he wanted the underwear on, so we put them on. I was planning on potty training sometime this summer but was not quite ready! Well, he has not put a diaper on since and is doing AWESOME!!! He has very few to no accidents a day and even wakes up dry! I am thrilled to not have to buy diapers anymore!!

There is a piece of candy in Jason's mouth. Candy was the KEY bribery item for him. Tyler could care less about candy and wanted toys!

Visit from the Scanlan's

Fred and Codi came to visit us for a few days at the beginning of the month. We had a great time! The kids had a blast running the tractor into the ground everyday, Fred and Jimmy got in lots of golf and Codi and I were able to sneak away one night for a little shopping. We had a great time and wish you guys lived closer!

Fun activities in May

I am trying to get caught up on my blog. I have been horrible this whole year! It seems that I only get about 1 or 2 posts a month! I guess life has just been busy.

Here are a few pictures of what we were up to in May:

Visiting Rangely to see Grandma, Grandpa, Uncle Quinton, Aunt Courtney and of course, baby Kylee

Mini golf with Payton and Levi Brooks

The boys spent more time lying in the hole themselves intead of getting the ball in it!

A robyn build its nest in one of our trees! It was really cool to see the eggs hatch and watch the baby birds grow so fast!! They were grown and gone in about three weeks.

Swimming (we have not been able to get the pool out in June!)
