Yogurt anyone???

Jason loves to dip pretzels in yogurt and sometimes he gets a little carried away with the dipping. These pictures are one such occasion:

Jason's Birthday and Easter

I know that I am really late getting these up, but better late than never, right???

My parents and sisters came over for the weekend to celebrate Jason's birthday, my birthday and Easter. It was a fun weekend, but some of our plans got ruined by bad weather.

Jason got a new basketball hoop and once he opened this, he did not care about anything else...

so Tyler got to open all of his presents.

Jason got a new scooter and big boy underwear (I am planning on potty training this summer!)

Grandma Douglas made Jason a basketball cake. The morning that my mom told him she was going to make the cake he did not want to wait and wanted to eat it right away! He ended up eating the powder cake mix out of a bowl with a spoon for breakfast!!

Jason played in the cake more this year than he did last year.

This is what the cake looked like after we each had a piece and Jason got done man-handling it.
Since Jason's birthday was on Easter this year, we had to cram everything into one weekend. We did our ward's Easter egg hunt on Saturday morning, Jason's birthday after that and then dyed eggs.

Tyler had tons of fun dying the eggs, but Jason did not want any part of it...

He wanted to stay in his crib to have his boppy (pacifier). We will be working on getting rid of that this summer as well!!

Tyler got this wagon for Easter and the boys thought it would be fun to put Kylee in it and give her a ride. Aunt Courtney made a nice bed in there for her and Tyler pulled and Jason pushed her all around for a while and she LOVED it!! It was really cute.

New Carpet

We are FINALLY done with our projects for the moment!! It has been a wild and crazy month, but we absolutly love the changes. We got the new carpet in last week and had move all of the furniture and rip out the old carpet. I am so glad that we got the carpet, it is so soft and makes the house feel warm! I LOVE the color and how it goes with everything in the house. There are a few before and after pictures.

I might be able to keep up with everything else now that the painting, tile, carpet and decorating are over for a while. My parents and sister (Tiffany) were a HUGE help! They helped paint, watched the boys for us, and tear bathrooms apart and put them back together. Thanks guys!!

My hippo itches!

Today I was playing on the floor with the boys when the following conversation happened:

Tyler: "My hippo itches." (as he is scratching his chest)
Mom: "Oh really, where are your hippos?"
Tyler: (lifting up his shirt) "Right here."
Mom: "How many hippos do you have?"
Tyler: "Two."
Mom: (tries not to burst into laughter!)

It was so funny! We have been playing Hungry Hungry Hippos lately, so maybe that is where it came from; who knows with this kid!! I tell you what, there is NEVER a dull moment with him!!!

Happy Birthday Tyler, T, Super T

Tyler's birthday is actually today but we celebrated over the weekend while my family was in town. We went to Chuck E. Cheese for pizza and games. The boys had a great time (although Jason was so tired I thought he was going to fall asleep on the horse ride). We came home and put Jason down for a nap and Tyler got to open his presents. he was SO Funny!! He was really excited about every present. He got a new scooter, edger, handy manny tool set, movies, waffle maker (complete with syrup and a mix), and money!

I can't believe that he is already 4! He is so much fun and is always coming up with something new to make a mess with! He is very imaginative, creative and independent. He loves trucks, tractors, boats, cooking, tools, his blanket and silky, milk, waffles, being the boss, picking out his own clothes, helping his little brother (usually getting him the things that I won't let him have), irritating his little brother (naturally), being outside, spending time with family, talking on the phone, creating things with boxes, and is always making us laugh with the sayings he comes up with. He makes life very exciting - what would we do without him???

My mom made the awesome cake!! Tyler wanted it exactly like his tractor that he got for Christmas. My mom use a little orange candy for the gas tank cap and when Tyler saw it he told her, 'the gas tank is supposed to be red, Grandma!" It was hilarious because I told my mom an orange one would work fine.

This is all Jason cared about!!

Ready to help Dad with the yard.

I mentioned that he loves waffles!! What other 4 year old would be so excited to get his very own waffle iron???

Jason was exhausted and would not cooperate for a picture!

Tyler dressing himself!

Fixing a box - I am not exactly sure what he was making with this one.

Helping his brother jump down the stairs into the mount of pillows! (oh - and dressing himself again)

I could not resist putting in a few pictures of cute baby Kylee!
We were doing FHE the other night and I was asking the boys if they knew who loved them and Tyler said, "Do you know who I like? Little Kylee." It was so sweet!!

Jason looks like a monster compared to Kylee!
