Leaves!

We went outside to play for a little bit this afternoon and had a great time in the leaves that have fallen in our yard. Jason was hilarious to watch - he absolutly LOVED the leaves. Jimmy raked a big pile for Jason and he was just laughing and running all over the place. Tyler just wanted to make a "beautiful pile" and not jump in it.

Tyler took this picture.

Tyler's beautiful pile of leaves.

Jason thought it was so much fun to grab a handful of leaves and put them at the bottom of the slide and then go down the slide. I don't know how many times he did this. He would fall several times because he was trying to run so fast.

Brotherly Love

These are in random order, but here are a few pictures of the activities that have kept us busy for the last couple of weeks.

Jason knows how to kick back and relax. (Something he did not learn from his mother!)

Tyler made a cake all by himself! He did this as I was making cookies. He added all of his own ingredients and then we put it in a pan and baked it! Tyler and Jason tried it, but I didn't dare. He is so creative.

We went to the new Chuck E. Cheese with some friends last week. The boys had a blast! Jason would not get off of this horse and Tyler wanted to do a roller coaster simulator all morning.

Tyler can be very helpful, when he wants to be! One night he decided that he was going to give jason a bath, change his diaper and put him to bed. Surprisingly, Jason held still for Tyler to change his diaper, and he did a great job.

Tyler made Jason lunch one day - a hot dog bun with spagetti-o's on one half and BBQ sauce and mayo on the other. YUM YUM!! I can get the exact recipe from Tyler if anyone would like to try it :-)

A couple of weeks ago we went to the Aerospace Museum. The boys had a great time playing in the model cock pit.

This was the large group of us that went!!

Arches National Park

Jimmy and I were able to spend a weekend away, without the kids, to celebrate our anniversary and Jimmy's 30th birthday. My sister and parents came to watch the kids. We went to Arches National Park by Moab, UT. It was a lot of fun, and we pretty much spent the entire time hiking. These were hikes that would not have been fun for little kids, so it was great to be able to do everything without worrying about diapers, naps or snacks! The pictures are in no particular order and in no way do these scenes justice!

Double O Arch - really cool view!

Delicate Arch - the famous one on the Utah license plates. This was our favorite one. It was one heck of a hike to get up there, but it was SO worth it!! You come around a corner and there is the arch. It is on the side of a cliff and looks like it could fall at any time.

This is the view when you come around the corner.

Landscape Arch - very cool!!

Behind us is Partition Arch - Jimmy is sitting in the smaller arch in the picture below

Partition Arch

This was one of the many awesome views that we got during the hike. We were right on top of one of these 'fins' in this picture.

Yes, I am holding up this rock!

Splashfest!

Tyler wanted to get in the bath tub with Jason tonight (which NEVER happens) so I said sure, why not. I always thought it would be easier to bathe both boys at once, but found out today that it is not true! Instead of a calm bath for each of them, it was a wild and crazy splashfest! Not fun for mom. I think the bathtub is too small of an area to confine two wild boys! There was splashing, laughing, throwing toys, fighting, mysterious bubbles, screaming, water on the floor, 3 towels to bathe 2 boys, and a change of clothes for mom! I think that we will stick to separate baths :-)

Oh the joys of boys!

Could it really be snow??

We got a lot more snow than expected on Sunday morning. Tyler woke up and looked out his window and got so excited! He had his snow clothes on in no time and was ready to have some fun. The first snow fall of the season was complete with a snowman, snow angels, snow ball fight and of course, yellow snow! Jason liked the snow but was not a big fan of the snow boots, coat or gloves! We will have to work on that.

It is now 50+ degrees and all of the snow is gone, but it was fun while it lasted. Tyler wore his snow boots with shorts today!

Dinosaur Park

We went to the Dinosaur Park last week with some friends and had a great time, despite the freezing cold temperature!

I live in Rangely, Colorado

Tyler has been totally obsessed with going camping and to visit Grandma and Grandpa in Rangely, CO. If you ask him where he lives he will say, "Rangely, Cororado." He has had his bags packed and outside in the garage for weeks!! (It is really annoying because he packs everything - clothes, toothbrush, pj's, lotion, shoes, etc, so when we go to find something we have to unpack his bags!). We finally decided that we better take the poor kid to visit Grandma and Grandpa "over the mountains" as Tyler refers to them as.

When playing in Grandpa's fishing boat got boring, Tyler made his own boat in the back yard.

Grandma found a fun house for the boys! For some reason Tyler thought it was warm enough to play outside without a shirt.

Snips and snails and puppy dog tails...

We found a leaf bug in our garage and Jason did not hesitate to pick it up. He LOVED it so much that he carried it around all morning. He would let it crawl on the wall, grass, rocks, steps, or his leg and then pick it up again. I was afraid that he was going to squeeze it to death, but instead, I came back outside from getting popsicles and Jason was saying, "ut oh, ut oh". He had pulled the head off!

I absolutely LOVE his face in these pictures!
